Joe Gibbs Racing and Old World Industries announced a multi-year sponsorship deal on Wednesday in both the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, and the NASCAr XFINITY Series.
Beginning this weekend in Las Vegas for the third race of the season, Kenseth’s No. 20 Toyota Camry will adorn the PEAK and BlueDEF livery. OWI’s brands will also be featured at the March 26th race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. Besides the primary sponsorship on the MENCS side, PEAK and BlueDEF will also be the primary sponsor on Daniel Suarez’s No. 18 Camry at Talladega in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. For the remaining races in both series, PEAK and BlueDEF will become associate sponsors for all events.
“We’re excited to announce PEAK’s partnership with us and both Matt and Daniel ,” said team owner Joe Gibbs. “They have been a tremendous supporter of our sport for a long time and I think their entitlement sponsorship of the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series™ is another great example of that. It’s a real thrill to have them with us and on the 20 car with Matt starting this weekend in Vegas. Hopefully we can get them a trip or two to victory lane.”
Bryan Emrich, Chief Marketing officer with OWI expressed excitement for the years ahead.
“As a company, we’re thrilled to welcome Matt, Daniel and the Joe Gibbs Racing team to the Old World Industries motorsports family,” Emrich said. “These are guys that aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, and have both a great record on the track and a personal passion for all things automotive. We look forward to being a part of their continued success in 2017 and beyond.
In recent years, PEAK has become a bigger name in NASCAR in a variety of ways. PEAK spent time as a primary sponsor of both Clint Bowyer, and Michael Waltrip. The sponsorship announcement comes after Old World Industries’ became a Official Partner of NASCAR. PEAK also became the title sponsor of NASCAR’s Mexico Racing Series, as well as NASCAR’s sanctioned online racing series – the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series presented by iRacing.com.
