The NASCAR media has been working overtime this silly season, and another addition to the free agent driver lineup is a surprise.

Matt DiBenedetto announced via Twitter on Thursday, that he has decided to part ways with BK Racing.

DiBenedetto fired his engine in the Premier Series 68 times, all with BK Racing, and earned one top-10 finish at Bristol in the spring. He would return home to a police escort, plenty of confetti and can after can of silly string.

DiBenedetto has yet to announce his 2017 plans, but his tweet indicates that plans could already be concrete, only awaiting official announcement . He ran 19 NASCAR XFINITY Series races with TriStar Motorsports. Matt was sidelined in Texas in the fall after getting a concussion during a XFINITY Series race.
