Stewart-Haas Racing announced Thursday a multi-year extension of sponsor Jimmy John’s to remain with Kevin Harvick and the #4 SHR team.
The gourmet sandwich chain will be the sponsor of Kevin Harvick’s #4 Ford Fusion for 16 races in 2017 beginning with the Daytona 500. The company will be an associate sponsor in all other events.
“I’ve known Jimmy since 2009 and I’ve personally seen how driven he is and how his work ethic is embraced by Jimmy John’s franchise owners,” Harvick said. “He wants to be the best, period. And he’ll out-work everyone to be the best. That’s the same mindset we have in racing. I’m proud to continue this partnership with Jimmy John’s at Stewart-Haas Racing.”
Jimmy John’s has been a longtime partner of Kevin Harvick. The sandwich chain has been a sponsor of Harvick’s NASCAR XFINTY Series efforts since 2009, and eventually followed him to the Premier Series level at Richard Childress Racing.
Jimmy John’s founder, Jimmy John Liautaud, expressed excitement to continue the partnership.
“We are fortunate to partner with Kevin for many years in a very meaningful way,” Liautaud said in a press release.. “On and off the track, Kevin and (wife) DeLana Harvick are winners in all they do, and Stewart Haas Racing has proven to be an excellent home for them and for Jimmy John’s.”
Watch for the Freaky Fast Ford Fusion to hit the track at the Daytona 500 on February 26th at 2 p.m.
